Executive Leadership

MedHOK’s dedicated staff includes a medical management team consisting of several pharmacists, a dozen care management and utilization management nurses, and numerous subject matter experts in quality, compliance, pharmacy, care management, and technology. The vast majority of our staff members have healthcare and technology experience, including experience with Medicare and Medicaid plans and a deep understanding of CMS compliance mandates. With more than 225 collective years in the healthcare industry, our executive team leads the way, with a strong focus on compliance, cutting-edge technology, and overall customer satisfaction.

Gary Stuart serves as MedHOK’s president. He establishes the vision and growth strategy for MedHOK and its industry-leading, secure, SaaS-based platform that assists payers in the transition from fee-for-service to value-based healthcare. Gary brings more than 19 years of progressive healthcare technology experience to the company. Throughout his career, Gary has excelled at identifying new markets, leading organizational change and growing market share.

Gary has more than two decades of leadership experience in the healthcare industry across plan, pharmacy, and clinical markets. Prior to joining MedHOK as the company’s President, Gary served as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of the Emdeon business that became Change Healthcare, providing software, analytics, networking, and workflow optimization solutions. During his nineteen-year tenure with the company, he held a variety of senior management positions in strategy, sales, and services. Before serving as Emdeon’s CRO, for nine years, Gary led Emdeon’s largest vertical organization, as the Executive Vice President of Health Plan Services, representing approximately $900 million in annual revenue. Gary began his career as a programmer and quickly ascended to lead software development teams and, eventually, to oversee implementation services at Computer Sciences Corporation, now known as DXC Technology.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Business Administration-Computer/Information Technology Administration Management from Texas State University.

Marc S. Ryan serves as MedHOK’s Chief Strategy and Compliance Officer. During his career, Marc has served a number of health plans in executive-level regulatory, compliance, business development, and operations roles. He has launched and operated plans with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Exchange lines of business. Marc was the Secretary of Policy and Management and State Budget Director of Connecticut, where he oversaw all aspects of state budgeting and management. In this role, Marc created the state’s Medicaid and SCHIP managed care programs and oversaw its state employee and retiree health plans. He also created the state’s long-term care continuum program. Marc was nominated by then HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson to serve on a panel of state program experts to advise CMS on aspects of Medicare Part D implementation. He also was nominated by Florida’s Medicaid Secretary to serve on the state’s Medicaid Reform advisory panel.

Marc graduated cum laude from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service. He received a Master of Public Administration, specializing in local government management and managed healthcare, from the University of New Haven. He was inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, a national honor society for business, management, and administration.

Ryan Smith serves as MedHOK’s Chief Revenue Officer. He is responsible for leading MedHOK’s sales, marketing, account management, and strategic partnership teams focused on driving the growth and quality of MedHOK’s revenues. Ryan works closely with Product Management, Client Services, and Operations, to ensure insights from customers and the market are integrated into the plans and processes for these critical areas.

Before joining MedHOK, Ryan spent 19 years with Change Healthcare (formerly known as Emdeon) in various leadership positions across customer service, account management, product management and sales and most recently served as the senior vice president of payer sales & account management. Earlier in his career, Ryan served as the vice president of global product management for CSC Financial Services.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in management information sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.

Vig Ponnusamy has been the Chief Technology Officer of MedHOK, Inc. since 2009 and is primarily responsible for leading overall development and deployment activities. Vig has more than 20 years of healthcare IT experience. He became a lead architect at Oxford Health Plans. Throughout his career, he has held successive positions at large health insurance companies, including United Healthcare and WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

Alex Pauloski is Vice President of Operations for MedHOK’s MP Division. He is responsible for the oversight of the MP client base as well as building new client relationships starting from the sales process, through implementation, and ultimately the promotion of the solution into production. With Alex’s extensive background in solution implementation, he is a subject matter expert able to provide business insights to clients small and large.

Prior to his current role, Alex led product strategy and implementation for MedHOK’s MP products. In that role, Alex oversaw system implementations for new MP business and drove MP product strategy.

Mark Francen is Vice President of Client Service Operations for MedHOK and is responsible for oversight of client programs and the overall success of key client accounts. Mark builds client relationships from the initial phases of the sale through the successful implementation of the solution into production. Mark attributes his success to his ability to build a partnership with each client that spans the continuum of the client relationship.

Prior to joining MedHOK, Mark was Director of Customer Experience at Health First Health Plans in Florida where he leveraged resolution of complaint data that led to a 4.5 Star rating by CMS and excellent customer satisfaction ratings provided by the CAHPS and JD Power and Associates. He has more than 25 years of managed care industry experience focusing on complaint resolution and member satisfaction and has held various management positions at other health plans, including UPMC Health Plan, Highmark Blue Cross, and United HealthCare.

Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Kimberly Boulahanis, PHR, SHRM-CP, leads MedHOK’s human resources initiatives including talent management and oversight of onboarding and compensation. With more than 20 plus years in the healthcare industry, Kim brings a wealth of experience and dynamic vision to building a culture of quality and engagement by identifying top talent.

Kim is a Certified Professional in Human Resources, and holds her SHRM CP, with a focus on employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, training & development, team dynamics, and coaching. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership from Rasmussen College.

Cori Godeke, CPA, CFEis the Director of Finance and Accounting for MedHOK and is responsible for all aspects of MedHOK’s financial strategies, processes, and operations. Her expertise spans financial planning, Sarbanes Oxley implementation, and process transformation. Cori works cross-functionally with all departments to support MedHOK’s strategic initiatives.

Cori has served in key roles for large organizations including Masonite and Deloitte & Touché. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. Cori received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, graduating with Distinction and Honors. She will receive her Master’s in Business Administration in December 2018 from the University of South Florida.
