GARY D. STUART NAMED PRESIDENT OF HEARST HEALTH’S MEDHOK

TAMPA, FLORIDA and NEW YORK, December 4, 2017 – Hearst announced today that Gary D. Stuart has been named president of Hearst Health’s MedHOK, a leading provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for health plans. The appointment was announced by MedHOK CEO Anil Kottoor, Hearst Health President Gregory Dorn, MD, and Hearst Business Media President Richard P. Malloch. Stuart assumes his new role today and reports directly to Kottoor.

“Gary’s fluency in technology, leadership and the needs of health plan customers makes him a natural fit for our team,” Kottoor said. “He will be instrumental in driving our continued expansion.”

“MedHOK’s rapid growth each year is a testament to its innovative approach and capabilities for helping health plans manage compliance and quality,” Dorn said. “Gary’s extensive expertise and deep customer knowledge will advance MedHOK’s care guidance solution even further.”

Stuart has two decades of leadership experience in the healthcare industry across the health plan, pharmacy and clinical markets. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief revenue officer of the Emdeon business that became Change Healthcare, providing software, analytics, networking and workflow optimization solutions. During his 18-year tenure with the company, he held a variety of senior management positions in strategy, sales and services. Stuart began his career as a programmer and was quickly elevated to lead software development teams and, eventually, to oversee Implementation Services at Computer Sciences Corporation.

“MedHOK’s SaaS platform provides a unique solution in the marketplace and it is well positioned to assist customers in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape,” Stuart said. “I look forward to working with Anil and the Hearst team and continuing to scale the operations at MedHOK.”

“Gary brings an impressive record of achievement in healthcare and technology to MedHOK and I am confident that under the leadership of Anil and Gary, the team will continue to build on its success,” Malloch said.
