MedHOK Earns Full 2013 NCQA HEDIS® Software Certification For 360Measures®

TAMPA, Fla. – Jan. 10, 2013 – MedHOK, one of the healthcare industry’s fastest growing software companies, announced today that it has achieved Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) Software Certification for its 360Measures®, version 2.56, from the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA). This marks the third consecutive year MedHOK has achieved this certification by successfully passing all 68 program measures, including the CAHPS sample frames, and the systematic sampling methodology.

MedHOK’s 360Measures® is a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for annual HEDIS® filings and a complete integrated hybrid measures solution. It supports all aspects of commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business filings for both administrative and hybrid measures. Unlike other HEDIS® solutions, 360Measures is business-user configurable, giving users total control of the solution. MedHOK’s unique cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) approach allows users to run HEDIS® as often as they like to target, monitor, and remediate care gaps year-round.

“Currently, more than 90 percent of health plans in the nation utilize HEDIS to measure their performance in terms of care and service, compare it to other health plans and identify areas for improvement,” said Anil Kottoor, president and CEO, MedHOK. “We are honored that 360Measures is one of the elite software to receive the NCQA HEDIS Software Certification seal. This certification validates the hard work and dedication we have put forth in creating software that enhances clinical outcomes, care management and quality measures performance.”

MedHOK’s 360Measures fulfills all aspects of the annual filing process. It provides:

  • Administrative claim certified production and analysis
  • A complete integrated hybrid measures solution, including creation of the hybrid sample, algorithms to target providers, scheduling, medical chart review project management, chart abstraction tool, and upload and attachment of required medical chart documentation
  • Expert and qualified medical chart review capabilities
  • Integration of administrative and hybrid data for review and analysis
  • Production and submission of final administrative and hybrid HEDIS® submissions

In addition to monitoring HEDIS® performance year-round, MedHOK’s integrated PaaS solution allows health plans to integrate patient information in real time and make it immediately available across the care continuum. By doing so in a manner that is meaningful to each end user, MedHOK’s cloud-based platform creates actionable healthcare wherein individual providers and integrated delivery systems can proactively close care gaps, comply with federal and state regulations, enhance care management and improve HEDIS, Star and other quality scores.

“Improving care, quality and performance is the new standard of healthcare delivery. By deploying the MedHOK platform, health plans will be able to continually monitor quality and performance standards and identify where improvements in care are needed,” said Kottoor.

An independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to measuring the quality of healthcare in America, NCQA provides HEDIS® as a set of standardized measures for reliably comparing the performance of managed healthcare organizations. More than 90 percent of health plans in America use HEDIS® as a tool. By leveraging NCQA-Certified Software, these health plans can save time and resources by forgoing the manual source code review portion of the HEDIS® Compliance Audit and P4P Audit Review.
